Komentāri
1936. gada 10. decembrī, Belvederas pilī Eduards VIII parakstīja lēmumu par atteikšanos no troņa, lai varētu salaulāties ar amerikānieti, šķirteni Vollisu Simpsoni. Pēc atteikšanās viņam tika piešķirts Vindzoras hercoga tituls, un Eduards uz visiem laikiem pameta Lielbritāniju.
